Parokya Ni Edgar’s Chito Miranda in Bukidnon?

CAPITOL GROUNDS, MALAYBALAY CITY – Spectators during the February 27, 2009 elimination rounds of the Kaamulan Jam 2009 Lock and Load Battle of the Bands were in for a treat when a seemingly familiar personality showed up on stage.

A Chito Miranda (lead vocalist of popular Manila band Parokya Ni Edgar) look alike, complete with Chito’s signature style of dressing up and Chito’s butterfly haircut, served as the lead vocalist of one of the participating bands that night.

Alexande Ecu of the Asnah Band (Quezon, Bukidnon) tickled the crowd Friday night when he regaled the crowd with Parokya Ni Edgar songs complete with Chito Miranda-like gestures and antics.

A lot of spectators agreed that Ecu is a Chito Miranda dead ringer.

Although the Asnah band didn’t win that elimination round, many agreed that the band has truly made quite an impression and that they’re looking forward to watching “Bukidnon’s version of Chito Miranda” in many more gigs to come. (BUKIDNON ONLINE FEATURES)
