KAAMULAN FESTIVAL 2009, BUKIDNONBukidnon Online fully supports local bands and one of the bands that we like is the Azura Band – we’re sure some of you can tell by the number of posts about them and photos of them that we have on this blog.

Engr. Azura (photo by Irene)The Azura Band, which is based in Malaybalay City and is composed of Elmer Jalimas (bass), Michael Madjos (keyboards), Dolpho Medina (lead guitar), Engr. Bobby Azura (guitar/vocals) and Bobi Azura (drums), also played a significant role in the recently concluded Kaamulan Jam 2009 and we’re very honored to have been a part of that endeavor.

Bukidnon Online was one of the event sponsors.

Here are the photos I took of the band during their February 20, 2009 performance at the Capitol Stage, Capitol Grounds, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

That day was a very special one, too, I must underscore. It was the day when the band’s drummer, Bobi, wowed the audience and really gave quite a performance. For the very first time, he stood away from his drums and in front of the huge crowd. At first, he and his father (Engr. Azura of the Department of Public Works and Highways 1) serenaded the crowd but after that, Bobi mustered enough guts to sing solo.

And the crowd loved him! That really was quite a revelation.

By the way, the Azura Band also played during the Kaamulan Jam 2009 Lock and Load Battle of the Bands Grand Finals – you can check out their photos HERE.

If you want to hire the Azura Band or if you have inquiries, please feel free to leave a message. Thanks and enjoy the photos :)
