MALAYBALAY CITY, BUKIDNON – We here in Bukidnon Online have been very busy bees (as you probably have noticed by now) especially during the recently concluded 132nd Araw ng Malaybalay celebration. Thanks to the City Government of Malaybalay headed by Mayor Florencio Flores, Jr., the events during the Charter Day (or week, I should say) were successful — kudos to each and everyone who made those events possible!

Speaking of events, one of the well-attended events during the Araw ng Malaybalay 2009 weeklong celebration was the Open Hip Hop Dance Competition held last June 13, 2009 at the City Covered Court (Freedom Park), Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The event was presented by the City Government of Malaybalay and duly organized by the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) local team led by Chairman Niko Aldeguer.

The event was also sponsored by ASTERISK Events and Communications, SMART, Bambini, San Miguel Beer and Nature’s Spring Mineral Water.

The winners of the Araw ng Malaybalay 2009 Open Hip Hop Dance Competition were:

Champion – Peace Generation Crew
1st Runner Up – Young Reflex
2nd Runner Up – Street Aliens
3rd Runner Up – Real Youth

Best Costume – Make Some Noise
Best Choreography – Young Reflex
