Former ROTC officer of Bukidnon State University nabbed for estafa, illegal recruitment
MALAYBALAY CITY | BUKIDNON NEWS | BUKIDNON UPDATES | CRIME | MALAYBALAY CITY NEWS – A former teacher cum tactical officer of the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) department of Bukidnon State University was recently arrested by authorities for alleged estafa and illegal recruitment.
Warlito Tacastacas, a resident of Sumpong, Malaybalay City, was arrested January 19, 2010 at around 4 pm by virtue of a warrant of arrest for 3 counts of estafa. Bail was recommended at P10,000.00
Tacastacas is also facing 4 counts of illegal recruitment. Bail was set at P80,000.00
I learned from my mom that Tacastacas used to be an instructor of ROTC at BSU. Currently, Tacastacas is detained at the local precinct. Reports say that he may be transferred to the city jail located at Barangay Patpat, Malaybalay City.
