Bukidnon gubernatorial bet Tabios says he’s now top choice

Fr. Diosdado “Dodge” Tabios, a candidate for Bukidnon governor this May 9, 2016 elections, says he is now the top choice, if local surveys are to be believed. Tabios, who is an independent candidate, is vying for Bukidnon’s top provincial post versus incumbent Jose Zubiri, Jr., Delfina Bicatulo and Delia Arroyo.

Tabios, Arroyo and Bicatulo are all independent candidates while Zubiri is running under the banner of his own local political party, Bukidnon Paglaum.

Posted on Tabio’s official Facebook page was this statement: “Tabios is leading the gubernatorial race. More volunteers are coming and more people are supporting his candidacy. Now, we can say that we should not be afraid of political bullying since we are the people living in Bukidnon. We are the owners of Bukidnon, it’s not theirs and especially not owned by the incumbent governor! Let us help redeem Bukidnon!”

For several days now, supporters of Tabios have been complaining that they encountered difficulties in securing permits to use various facilities around the province for them to hold their campaign rallies.

Some supporters also say that certain individuals have been trying to tamper with their campaign paraphernalia. “Gipangbaklas ang posters ni Fr. Dodge. This is their tactic kay leading na man gud siya sa survey,” said a supporter.
