The founder and main blogger behind Bukidnon Online (http://www.BukidnonOnline.com) has been invited by the government of the United States of America to attend a 3-week leadership program.

The BukidnonOnline.com blogger is currently in the USA to visit a total of 4 states namely Washington DC, Orlando Florida, Salt Lake City Utah and Portland Oregon. Apart from these 4 states, the tour will also allow the blogger to visit neighboring cities, counties and states such as Virginia and Maryland.

This is the very first time that a blogger from Bukidnon has been invited by the US Department of State to tour America.

While in America, the BukidnonOnline.com blogger will have the chance to explore how freedom of the press is in the United States, to compare and contrast new and traditional media outlets in the USA, to examine political action committees, advocacy organizations and grassroots movements and to illustrate the US political system, election process and interactions among federal, state and local governments, political parties, Congress, media and NGOs during the elections.

The Bukidnon Online blogger is also the founder of the Bukidnon Bloggers Group, a movement composed of practising and would-be digital media practitioners (bloggers, social media enthusiasts, micro bloggers etc).
