Bukidnon Online is set to join Wordcamp Philippines 2010

As you guys may or may not know, Bukidnon Online uses WordPress. Bukidnon Online has been a WordPress blog for nearly 3 years now. WordPress is a blogging software that’s free for people to use. (A bit of explanation, though – We use wordpress.org since we have our own domains. For those who don’t have domains or don’t have plans of buying domains but still want to avail of WordPress, you can get a free account over at wordpress.com)

If you’re a regular Bukidnon Online reader, you may have noticed that we first used another open source software when we started out. However, we soon shifted to WordPress and things have been easy ever since.

All of our other numerous sister blogs also use WordPress. We also use Blogger (and we love this service as well) but for most of our sites that have their own domains, we use WordPress.

So because we’re avid WordPress users, we’re proud to say that we’re set to join Wordcamp Philippines 2010 in a few weeks!

We’re absolutely excited and cannot wait to meet Mr. WordPress himself, the great Matt Mullenweg!

Here are some words from the official Wordcamp Philippines website:

WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress. WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other. WordCamps are open to WordPress.com and WordPress.org users alike.

On October 2, 2010, the Filipino WordPress community will gather together in Manila for WordCamp Philippines 2010. It marks the third time WordCamp is held in the Philippines, following successful WordCamps in 2008 and 2009. This year, the organizers promise a bigger and better WordCamp Philippines, featuring distinguished speakers and not to mention WordPress creator Matt Mullenweg himself being in attendance.
