KAAMULAN FESTIVAL 2010 | BUKIDNON NEWS | BUKIDNON ONLINE | PERSONALITIES | POLITICS – It was somehow expected. Amid the current political campaign season, various candidates visited the Province of Bukidnon over the weekend in an effort to garner potential voters’ attention.
Last March 6, 2010, during the Kaamulan street dancing competition, it was Nacionalista Party vice presidential candidate Senator Loren Legarda’s time to talk to Bukidnon voters. In the evening of the same day, during Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri‘s sponsored concert, it was the turn of re-electionist Senator Lito Lapid, LAKAS CMD KAMPI senatoriable Silvestre Bello III and popular young actor Jolo Revilla (who stood in for his dad, re-electionist Senator Bong Revilla).
Lapid also brought along his sons Maynard and Mark Lapid.
The most popular speaker of the night was the young Revilla. Female fans screamed and cheered him on.
Thousands watched the Zubiri-sponsored concert at the Capitol Grounds in Malaybalay City, a regular crowd drawer during the yearly Bukidnon festival. Hundreds of policemen were reportedly assigned in various areas around the Capitol Grounds to ensure safety.
The concert featured artists Kris Lawrence, Mark Bautista, ASF dancers and Rico Blanco.
