BUKIDNON NEWS | MANOLO FORTICH BUKIDNON – IT’S CONFIRMED.
A warrant of arrest has been issued for former Bukidnon First District Congressman Neric Acosta and his mother, former Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon mayor Socorro Acosta.
The Sandiganbayan Fifth Division issued the arrest order today. The warrant of arrest was made in connection with the perjury case filed against the Acostas. This, despite the fact that the graft and corruption case filed by Fr. Venancio Balansag, Jr. has been withdrawn and that Balansag has executed an affidavit of desistance.
Acosta is currently the presidential adviser on environmental protection and is the general manager of the Laguna Lake Development Authority. His sister, Malou, is running for Bukidnon First District congresswoman this May 2013 elections.
