Bukidnon 2nd District Rep. Florencio Flores, Jr. filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for re-election Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Provincial Commission on Elections (COMELEC) office. Accompanied by family, friends and supporters, Flores filed his COC alongside other incumbent Bukidnon congressmen.

Flores, who is running under the Nacionalista Party, told Bukidnon Online “if given the chance, I would like to finish my third term in Congress.”

This is Flores’ last bid for congress. Under Philippine election laws, a congressman can only serve for a maximum 3 consecutive terms. Flores also served as Malaybalay City mayor for 3 consecutive terms before he ran for congress.

In 2013, Flores filed his candidacy with then Bukidnon 1st District Rep. Jess Paras. SEE THE PHOTOS HERE
