Four Malaybalay City cops killed in ambush, 4 injured

MALAYBALAY CITY NEWS | BUKIDNON | BUKIDNON NEWS | KAAMULAN FESTIVAL 2011 – Four members of the Malaybalay City police force were reportedly killed today in an ambush. Authorities allege that members of the suspected communist group New People’s Army (NPA) are behind the killing. The Malaybalay City police station has also released a statement, condemning what they call a “terrorist act.”

WE CONDEMNED THE TERRORIST ACT AND CLEAR HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS OF THE NEW PEOPLE’S ARMY!!!! We mourn for the death of the PNP personnel of Malayabalay City and SOCO (Crime Lab) PNP personnel who were ambushed and robbed at about 11:15am of March 6, 2011 by the New People’s Army while on their way to Bgy Mapayag, MC, to respond and investigate/conduct ocular inspection of the surrounding circumstances of the reported shooting to death by believed members of the NPA of ex Bgy Capt Antonio Pechora, a helpless ex bgy capt who is already deaf..

The following died: PO3 JOMAR CAHIG (Investigator n unarmed), PO1 RONEL BAYTA (CrimeLab wd no firearm), PO1 JAIME NAPIL (CrimeLab wd 9mm taken by NPA including cellphones), RODEL DANGUP ( Civilian assistant of CrimeLab).

The following are wounded: PO3 ZANDREX LLIDO, PO3 GLEN PAMISA, PO1 ANGELO LINABAN, and PO1 XERXES PALASOL..

All 3 9mm pistols, 1M16 rifle, cellphones combat shoes, jackets and other personal belongings were taken by the NPAs…

The policemen wer just responding to investigate and conduct ocular inspection and they dont deserved to be treated as such by evil communists….

Reports say that 3 of the victims died on the spot while another died at a hospital.
