Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon is celebrating its 100th founding year! With the theme, “Celebrating A Century of Culture, Heritage and Progress,” the Manolo Fortich local government has lined up events from January to April 2017.
Manolo Fortich, previously named Maluko before it got changed in 1957, is a first class municipality located at the first district of the Province of Bukidnon.
Some of the highlights of the Manolo Fortich Centennial Celebration 2017:
Centennial Kasalan (February 14 at the Manolo Fortich Gymnasium)
Boxing at the Park (February 28 at the Municipal Plaza)
Rodeo, Horse and Carabao Race (March 3 to 5 at the MFCES)
MacArthur’s Escape to Australia 75th Anniversary (Macabalan to Landmark)
Motocross (March 18 to 19 at the Dumlao Lot, Sayre Highway)
Centennial Off-Road Duathlon Challenge (March 19 at the plaza)
Search for Binibining Manolo Fortich Centennial (April 1 at the gym)
Centennial Mardi Gras (Street Dancing, April 3)
Globe Telecom-sponsored Event (Evening of April 3, 2017)
There will also be recurring basketball games, Tawag ng Tanghalan type of events, Municipal Olympics etc.
Culmination will be on April 4, 2017. Some celebrities, a fireworks display, a search for aktibong barangay as well as homecoming of balikbayans are expected.
