BUKIDNON NEWS – If you’re a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) voter who registered and voted during the 2010 Sangguniang Kabataan elections, you must register again so you will be able to vote in next year’s elections.
The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has announced that the youth who registered and voted during the 2010 Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Elections should register anew so they may be able to vote in the May 13, 2013 National and Local Elections.
COMELEC Spokesman James Jimenez, who noted a prevailing misconception among SK Members on the registration process, also urged the SK Federation leaders nationwide to encourage the youth to register.
Voters’ registration is open at COMELEC Offices all over the Philippines until October 31, 2012; Mondays to Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Registrants need only bring a valid ID when they register.
Meanwhile, here are the general requirements and guidelines for voter registration.
