Suspected rebels burn heavy equipment in Kitaotao Bukidnon
A construction company fell prey to suspected New People’s Army (NPA) rebels Tuesday afternoon after at least 10 heavy equipment they own were burned down.
At around 4:30 PM today, October 29, 2014, alleged rebels attacked a quarry site in Sitio Malood, Barangay Sinoda, Municipality of Kitaotao, Bukidnon and burned down roughly 10 heavy equipment including dump trucks, cement mixer, backhoe, grader and prime movers.
Bukidnon provincial police spokesperson Insp. Jiselle Longakit divulged that the unnamed company has received threats before. The most recent attack may be related to extortion.
