Valencia City LAKAS-KAMPI candidates file COCs, Catarata up for re-election (full list inside)
VALENCIA CITY BUKIDNON | BUKIDNON NEWS – The local candidates of LAKAS-KAMPI in Valencia City Bukidnon filed their certificates of candidacy (COCs) last November 28, 2009 at the Valencia City field office of the Commission on Election (COMELEC).
Leading was the group was incumbent Valencia City Mayor Leandro Jose H. Catarata, who is up for re-election. The group’s vice mayoralty bet is re-electionist Vice Mayor Benjamin “Ben” Verano.
The LAKAS KAMPI Valencia City councilor bets are Atty. Oliver Owen “Babba” Garcia, Cleofe “Baby” Mabao, Eduardo “Toto” Chan, Camilo “Milo” Pepito, Arlyn “Ate Arlyn” Ayon, Francisco “Iko” Alkuino, Rolando “Nonoy” LaviÑa, Glen “Bebot” Peduche, Almer “Dokie” Alfonso and Rogelio “Oniel” Roque.
Valencia COMELEC officer Merlyn Rasonable received the COCs.
Election observers believe that Catarata will be able to increase his lead margin of 2,870 votes over the former mayor in the 2007 elections. They also say that the majority of the local LAKAS KAMPI candidates for the city council will garner a 10-0 win margin.
