650 Quezon market vendors receive Php 1.9M cash aid

A total of 650 Quezon, Bukidnon public market vendors identified to be affected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic received a total of P1,950,000.00 cash aid from the government on March 20, 2021.

Each of them received Php 3,000 financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) under the agency’s Assistance in Crisis Situation AICS) Program.

The payout was held at Brgy. Libertad during the inauguration of the New Central Market. Aside from the cash aid, each of them also received relief supplies from DSWD.

Packed lunches, groceries, vitamins, face masks and face shields were also given to them.

Meanwhile, the Office of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has extended Php 500,000 worth of livelihood grant to Overseas Filipino Workers’ families (OFWs). The Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Office 10 also turned over various agri-fishery interventions worth Php 6.67 million to LGU Quezon to increase farmers’ and fisherfolk’s productivity.
