Bukidnon-born Police Chief Gamboa survives chopper crash

Philippine National Police Chief General Archie Francisco Gamboa escaped a helicopter crash earlier today, March 5, 2020, in Laguna. He was brought to Westlake Medical Center, a nearby hospital for treatment.

The 55-year old Gamboa, who was born in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, was supposed to head to San Pedro, Laguna to visit an impounding area of the Highway Patrol Group.

Initial news reports say that within seconds after takeoff, the helicopter crashed. The helicopter, which was bought last March 2018, is reportedly a Bell 429 Global Ranger Model.

After the crash, the chopper was engulfed in flames.
