The 4th Infantry Division (Diamond) of the Philippine Army and the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region X recently sent food packs to the Province of Bukidnon as part of government assistance for people affected by the deadly Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Three thousand family food packs were delivered last March 28, 2020 and are now kept inside the Bukidnon provincial army headquarters. The current total number of family food packs is now 6,000.

According to the regional DSWD office, the food packs are among the measures prepared by the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging and Infectious Disease (RIATF- MEID)- in Northern Mindanao.

The family food packs will be used should the COVID-19 crisis escalate, according to authorities.
