Bukidnon to give Php 6 Million for Taal Volcano eruption survivors

The Province of Bukidnon is extending help for the survivors of the recent Taal Volcano eruption. During the 28th Regular Session of the 26th Sangguniang Panlalawigan held last January 21, 2020, the Bukidnon provincial government agreed to donate Php 6 Million to 6 areas in Batangas and Cavite.

Each of the following areas will receive Php 1 Million:

Balayan

Klook.com

Calatagan

Tuy

Bayan

San Luis

Batangas City

The 6 areas were identified as some of the most heavily affected.

As of this writing, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or PHIVOLCS reiterates Alert Level 4 is still in effect. This means that hazardous explosive eruption is still possible within hours to days.

PHIVOLCS still recommends total evacuation of Taal Volcano Island and high-risk areas within the 4-kilometer radius from the Taal Main Crater and along the Pansipit River Valley.
