BUSECO suspends meter reading, extends bill payment dues

The management of the Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative (BUSECO) has announced the suspension of meter readings from March 14 to April 14, 2020 and the extension of payments for power bill dues.

This move is related to Presidential Proclamations 922 and 929 placing the entire Philippines under a state of public health emergency and state of calamity due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

BUSECO says that instead of actual meter readings, the average billing of the 3 preceding months will be used. The issuance and distribution of power bill statements will also only resume by April 14, 2020.
