Employee of Shell station in Sumpong Malaybalay City robbed

MALAYBALAY CITY – I just learned that an employee of Shell Gasoline Station located at Barangay Sumpong, Malaybalay City got robbed recently. The said gas station in Malaybalay is near Lunsayan Street and along Fortich Street, the main thoroughfare of this city.

Two suspects reportedly robbed the male employee identified as one Ricky Timbang.

According to police reports, the two suspects carried a .45 pistol and were aboard a motorcycle with plate number KD 8073. They entered the office of the said gas station and declared a hold-up. Timbang’s cellular phone was taken by the robbers.

Police reports also state that the suspects fired the gun as they fled.

Authorities are still conducting an investigation on this matter.

I don’t know about you but this is something to be concerned about. What’s wrong with this picture? Do you think that the gas station management is at fault for being “lax” in their security measures? Do you think that the local businessmen should employ more “high tech” security measures? Where should the local police force come in?

I’m pretty sure that you all have noticed that crimes as of late have been done by suspects aboard a motorcycle. What do you think the government is doing about this?
