Bukidnon Online wishes to greet Malaybalay City Mayor Hon. Ignacio “Inaki” Zubiri a very happy birthday! Happy, happy birthday Sir Inaki!

At the risk of people thinking this might be a “politically colored” blog post, BukidnonOnline.com would like to emphasize that we’re all friends with the Zubiris and even with their political foes. Thankfully, the politicians we know are also friends and they respect us as much as we respect them. There is, after all, a time for criticism and there is also a time for politesse.

Truth be told, we’ve known Sir Inaki for many years. The very first time we met him was when he was still a Malaybalay City councilor. To be perfectly honest with all of you, he was the nicest, friendliest councilor to us then. He really went out of his way to approach us, introduce himself and offer assistance. We were still new in Malaybalay City and hardly knew anybody so for a councilor to do that was really amazing. We will never forget that. Hats off to you, Sir!

Just a few months ago, Mayor Inaki Zubiri again showed us his support by hosting a welcome dinner for our very special guests — the Malaysian Ambassador to the Philippines , his wife and the rest of his entourage. BukidnonOnline.com will always be grateful to Sir Inaki for the support and gracious welcome. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
