Impasugong donates land for ex-NPA rebels “rehab center”
The municipal government of Impasugong, Bukidnon has donated a one-hectare piece of land for a Php 5 Million rehabilitation center for former members of the New People’s Army (NPA).
The rehab center or halfway house, which will rise in Magbuliga Development Complex, Barangay Poblacion, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon, will also feature an agricultural farm.
The “rehab center” will be put up in about 7 months and will cater to former rebels who have “returned to the fold of law.”
At the said center, they will undergo psychological and psychosocial counseling, livelihood training and capacity building in preparation for their reintegration into mainstream society.
