Months ago, news broke out about an alleged rape incident at the Kaamulan Grounds. Weeks later, another. Then about two weeks ago, a friend of the victim of an attempted rape incident and robbery posted on a social networking site about her friend’s ordeal. Then just last week, another incident. This time, the victim was allegedly too scared to report to the police that she requested that the incident be not officially recorded on police logs.

So now you can’t help but wonder – how do we solve a problem like the Kaamulan Grounds? Especially when, decades ago, people can just freely roam around this area and not worry about safety?

Yes, times have changed but shouldn’t that also mean changes in security measures as well? Bukidnon Online was told that policemen have been assigned at the Kaamulan Grounds but alas, we all know that isn’t enough. We should all be vigilant as well.
