Residential compound in Malaybalay with 4 virus cases declared under lockdown

A residential compound in Malaybalay City with 4 confirmed cases of the deadly coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been placed under localized lockdown and focused containment.

By virtue of Executive Order No. 106, series of 2020, issued on September 29, 2020, Malaybalay Acting Mayor Jay Warren Pabillaran declared Purok 3, Barangay Casisang under lockdown until October 13, 2020.

Confirmed cases number 68, 69, 70 and 71 all live in that area and are among the 11 reported active cases in the city as released by the Department of Health regional office last September 27, 2020.

According to a Public Advisory issued September 28, Confirmed Case No. 68 is a 31-year-old female medical staff of a public hospital in the city, while Confirmed Case No. 69 is the husband of Confirmed Case No. 68. He
is a 33-year-old Job Order employee of the City Government of Malaybalay.

Meanwhile, Confirmed Case No. 70 is an 18-year-old male who is the brother of Confirmed Case No. 68, and Confirmed Case No. 71 is a 48-year-old pubic school teacher and is the mother of Confirmed Case
No. 68.

They were fetched by members of the City Incident Monitoring Team (IMT) on Sept. 28 and were all admitted at the Northern Mindanao Wellness and Reintegration Center (NMWRC) in Brgy. Casisang. As of September 28, all of them remain asymptomatic.

As of September 29, 2020, Malaybalay City has a total of 78 total confirmed cases with 51 recovered cases, 26 total number of active cases in an isolation facility and 1 death.
