No brownout on May 10 in Bukidnon – according to Energy department

BUKIDNON NEWS | BUKIDNON UPDATES | SOCIETY – There will be no blackouts on Monday, May 10, 2010, the very same day the entire country will vote for its new set of national leaders. This, according to the Department of Energy (DOE). This means that there will be no brownouts or blackouts in Bukidnon as well.

In fact, according to DOE, all three major islands of the country will not suffer from a power outage on the three days before, during, and after the polls on Monday, the very first automated elections in the Philippines.

Major dams in Mindanao will be up and running and will help provide hydro power.

Mindanao will have reserves of up to 100 mW, according to the DOE.

In fact, the hydro power plants in Bukidnon and Iligan are set to provide additional 7 MW and 40 MW respectively.
