Typhoon Ondoy (international code name: Ketsana) has caused so much catastrophe in Luzon. Typhoon Ondoy dumped 410mm of rain Saturday, the heaviest in the recorded history of the Philippines. As of late, the death toll has climbed to 75. The typhoon left so many people homeless, hungry and in pain.

Bukidnon may be so many miles away from Luzon but it is still our duty as Filipinos to help out. Please donate and let’s help the victims of Ondoy.

You can donate through these measures:

Donate to the Red Cross Rescue and Relief Operations. Text: Red AMOUNT to 2899 (Globe) or 4483 (Smart). The AMOUNT can be 10, 25, 50 or 100

You can also visit the nearest Department of Social Welfare and Development, Sagip Kapamilya or Red Cross office.

You can also send your donations via Paypal like I did. There’s this group called TXTPower that receives the donations and forwards the same to the Philippine National Red Cross. TXTPower’s Paypal email address is [email protected] – more details can be found in their official website. You may also donate via SmartMoney (5577-5144-1866-7103) or GCash 0917-9751092.
