Suspect in Bukidnon nurse killing arrested
One of the 2 suspects in the killing of a Bukidnon nurse has been arrested. Authorities nabbed 20 year old Jason Jamero at a construction site in Purok 9, Barangay Candelaria, San Fernando, Bukidnon Friday.
Jamero is one of the 2 suspects in the slay of 35 year old Bukidnon nurse Soriano Moreno. The victim, who worked as a nurse at the Bukidnon Provincial Hospital in Kalilangan, was found dead January 4, 2021 inside a lodging house in Valencia City. Moreno’s body bore various stab wounds.
Recovered from Jamero was the victim’s cellular phone.
Valencia City Police Chief Lt. Col. Cipriano Bazar said that Jamero is a Valencia City resident and works as a laborer at the construction site where he was arrested.
Jamero and Moreno were friends, according to authorities. The knife used to kill Moreno was allegedly found inside Jamero’s residence.
The other suspect remains at large.
Moreno was buried in Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur, his hometown, Friday.
