Valencia Bukidnon declares community quarantine

The City of Valencia in Bukidnon is declaring that they will impose a community quarantine starting March 16, 2020 at 6 PM until March 29, 2020. This, as part of the preventive measures “to avoid and prevent the spread” of the deadly Coronavirus disease or COVID-19.

Valencia City Mayor Azucena Huervas signed Executive Order 19 series of 2020 outlining the following guidelines:

– the movement of residents shall be limited to accessing basic necessities and reporting for work

– the entry to and exit from Valencia City, Bukidnon shall be restricted except for health workers, authorized government officials, those traveling for medical or humanitarian purposes, persons transiting to airports or seaports for authorized and essential travel

– drivers, passengers and travelers entering Valencia City shall be required to prevent valid IDs, address, contact number, travel history etc

– business establishments shall remain open except for resorts, swimming pools, recreation facilities, cockpit arenas, movie houses, bars, karaoke joints, beer houses and other entertainment areas

– classes in all levels will remain suspended until March 29, 2020

– mass gatherings shall be prohibited

– The Valencia City Health Office will establish a respiratory triage center
