Valencia councilor Roque files candidacy for congressman

BUKIDNON NEWS | BUKIDNON ELECTION WATCH 2013 – Valencia City councilor Rogelio Neil “Oneil” Roque has formally filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for Bukidnon Second District congressman today, October 4, 2012 at the Provincial Commission on Elections (COMELEC) office.

Roque, who topped the list of Valencia City councilors in the 2010 elections, was quick to clarify, however, that he intends to gun for the congressional seat in the yet-to-be-formalized Bukidnon Fourth District. Roque is the second candidate who filed candidacy for Bukidnon Second District congressman but who has the intention to actually vie for the Bukidnon Fourth District congressional seat. The first one was Agripo, who filed his COC October 3, 2012.

Although there are supposed reports of President Benigno Aquino III signing the bill creating the Bukidnon Fourth District into law, Malacanang has yet to release a formal statement on the matter.
