BUKIDNON NEWS | BUKIDNON BLOG – Copies of an alleged bogus Commission on Elections (COMELEC) resolution circulated around Bukidnon early today, May 13, 2013, the very day of the Philippine national elections. The alleged fake COMELEC resolution stated that Bukidnon gubernatorial candidate Jose Ma. Zubiri, Jr. has been disqualified as candidate.

A photo of the alleged fake resolution was sent to by a concerned citizen via Twitter is trying to contact the COMELEC headquarters in Manila for comments.

1. There are some grammatical and spelling errors

2. The resolution is only signed by the “Secretary of the Commission.” If you visit the official COMELEC website and check some of their official resolutions, these are usually signed by the COMELEC Chairman and all other COMELEC Commissioners

3. This alleged fake resolution is not formatted properly

Bukidnon Online will post the response from COMELEC once we receive it. Stay tuned.
