Bukidnon Bloggers Group to partner with prestigious NGO plus other updates

Bukidnon Bloggers, Internet, Malaybalay City, Personal, Technology

BUKIDNON BLOGGERS GROUP – Hello fellow Bukidnon bloggers! Here are a few exciting updates!

A few days ago, upon our invitation, some Bukidnon Bloggers Group members came and attended a mini tete-a-tete in Malaybalay City (thanks to everyone who came!) We shared the first piece of good news — a prestigious non government organization has already expressed their intent to establish a partnership with us! πŸ™‚ The partnership will allow a lot of possibilities — travels, leadership trainings, cultural exchange, funding assistance and a lot more. The partnership also signals undeniably very glaring facts — that bloggers are and should be agents of change and that blogging (whether traditional or micro) is really powerful and fast recognized as the preferred method of communication especially for social good. The formal, finalized MOU will be sent real soon and we hope that all of you can come and witness the signing. That’ll also be a great time for all of us to hang out! πŸ˜‰ Speaking of hanging out — does anybody like the idea of holding a mini-party?

Second update — the upcoming Mindanao Bloggers Summit 2011.

The 5th Mindanao Bloggers Summit will be held at Iligan City on October 29 to 30, 2011. The theme this year will be “One Green Mindanao: Mobilizing Bloggers to Promote Sustainable Lifestyle.” According to the Iligan Bloggers Society (the organizers of this year’s summit), the event aims to not only provide a venue for Mindanao-based bloggers to converge but to also discuss issues on environment and help formulate a better Mindanao through the promotion and adaptation of a sustainable lifestyle. Interested Bukidnon Bloggers Group members can visit THIS PAGE for more information.

Third update — a blogging 102 training for all those who joined the Bukidnon Online Blogging 101 and How to Earn Money Online workshop last year. Unlike the first workshop, this blogging 102 training will focus mainly on the tried and tested methods on how to earn REAL MONEY through the Internet. No scams, no MLMs. Again, we’d like to stress — This hands-on workshop will only be open to those who joined the blogging 101 workshop last year. Please leave a comment below to signify your interest. Target date is on a Saturday. Please feel free to suggest your preferred date πŸ™‚

During the meeting, we also discussed several other matters such as Commission on Elections (COMELEC) media accreditation, travels within/around Bukidnon, photo walks etc. We’ll discuss these matters further pretty soon πŸ™‚

So as you guys can see, the ball is still rolling πŸ˜‰ Hope we can still count on all your help and support! Thanks guys!

  • I’m so excited about these new developments. Unfortunately, I can’t make it to the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 2011. As for the MOU signing with a possible party and the Bukidnon Online Blogging 102, Jim and I are only available Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

  • What I would like to see is some group address the fact that there are no facilities in Malaybalay or Bukidnon that can treat a cobra bite. Someone would have to go to CDO for treatment and would probably die. Cobras are a real threat here and I found one in my front yard a week or so after being shown one in a bottle put there by 2 ten Y/O boys.

  • I am looking for a freelance writer living in Malaybalay with experience in SEO,LSI,product review and micro blogging. You can contact me Joel @o9358864271 for details.
