“Gibo is our man,” he added.

Zubiri’s statement comes after talks that his father is reportedly thinking of shifting political allegiance.

In fact, talks say that the governor called for a meeting recently at his home in Maramag, Bukidnon specifically to “have a feel” of the local political leaders’ opinions with regard to the proposed transfer.

A source earlier told BukidnonOnline.com that the transfer of political support is reportedly because of Teodoro’s dwindling surveys.

Teodoro usually comes in third after Villar and Liberal Party presidential bet Noynoy Aquino in presidential surveys.

The source also said that the transfer from Gibo to Villar is roughly “80 percent sure.”

Another source told BukidnonOnline.com that Governor Zubiri’s meeting may have been his way of reminding LAKAS CMD KAMPI that he still had a say with the local political leaders in Bukidnon.

There have been talks that some local leaders have lost trust in the governor and are now moving on their own.
