Bukidnon tourism loses the Flying Gecko

What a terribly sad day for Bukidnon tourism.

The very popular Flying Gecko aerial tour in Bukidnon is no longer. Starting May 16, 2012, the Flying Gecko aerial tours will no longer be offered in Bukidnon. Apparently, the said aerial tour aboard the popular ultralight will now be transferred to the Province of Bohol.

The Flying Gecko Aerial Tour, which was offered in Manolo Fortich, will soon be offered in Danao Park, Bohol instead.

We’re a bit sad to know that a favorite tourist attraction or tourist adventure will no longer be offered in Bukidnon. We ourselves have been meaning to try it but due to numerous trips here and abroad, we had no choice but to shelve our plans.

Can’t help but wonder if the Bukidnon government officials especially the tourism officials have done something to at least help keep this operation going. Or are they still hung up on the idea that Bukidnon tourism only means Kaamulan Festival? Ugh.

Bukidnon just lost yet another highly potential tourist attraction.
