BUKIDNON NEWS | MARAMAG BUKIDNON – A 22-year old student from Central Mindanao University was able to steal a kiss from Philippine President Benigno Aquino III. The CMU student – Maria Janua Polinar – was also able to hug President Noynoy Aquino, much to the worry of the presidential security guards, according to a news report.
Maria Janua Polinar, 22 years old, and the kiss she planted on PNoy’s cheek even made national news.
Polinar is one of the 2012 Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) awardees. She was in Malacanang to receive a plaque from the President. According to the news report, however, Aquino embraced her also but he looked “rather uneasy.”
Polinar was described as someone who was “fascinated” with the bachelor President and his administration. The journalist who wrote the news report also described Polinar as “starstruck.”
Polinar graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Central Mindanao University.
Too bad that the fact that she stole a kiss from PNoy became the lead of the story instead of her accomplishments. You can read the rest of the story HERE.
