Breaking news – Dolphy is dead. Dolphy Quizon, the Philippine King of Comedy, has died at age 83.
Singer-actress Zsa Zsa Padilla, Dolphy’s partner, confirmed tonight, July 10, 2012, that Dolphy has died.
Rodolfo Vera Quizon, Sr., OGH, (July 25, 1928 – July 10, 2012) known by his screen name Dolphy, was a Filipino comedian-actor. Among his projects are “John En Marsha,” “Pacifica Falayfay,” “Pidol’s Wonderland,” “Tataynic” and “Home Along Da Riles.” His children include director-actor Eric Quizon, actor Epy Quizon and actor-comedian Vandolph.
Rest in peace, Dolphy. You will be missed.
