The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Bukidnon chapter is joining the 2012 Accountancy Week celebration. In a media release sent to this Bukidnon news blog, PICPA Cagayan de Oro said that the Bukidnon and Iligan chapters are joining the Accountancy Week celebration this year.
The media release said that the Joint Accountancy Week 2012 celebration aims to promote activities geared towards holistic development of its constituents and junior counterparts, social responsibility and membership.
Among the events are the 2012 Search for Most Outstanding Accountancy Student (MOAS) in CDO, Bukidnon & Iligan. This is an annual recognition given to outstanding accountancy student/s with superior academic performance, exemplary leadership skills, community involvement and good moral values foundation-it is the program’s objectives to give due recognition to outstanding student/s who are worthy of emulation as well as encourage all accountancy students to strive for excellence, total human development with commitment to be an agent of better change towards a better life anchored on good moral values and faith in God.
There will also be civic oriented activities as well as the 1st PICPA Short Film Festival. The films will be shown in schools in Bukidnon. A tree planting activity will also be held in Malaybalay City on July 17, 2012.
