BUKIDNON NEWS | BUKIDNON MEDIA – The anchor of the DXDB Radyo Bandilyo Saturday program “Pulso Sa Lungsod,” Roy Calimpong, has officially filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for Bukidnon Second District Board Member Friday, October 5, 2012, the last day of filing. He is running under the Aksyon Demokratikong Pilipino party, which is fielding controversial car dealer Allan Bigcas as gubernatorial candidate.
Roy Calimpong, who is actually an employee of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in the Province of Bukidnon, moonlights as a volunteer anchor for the “Pulso Sa Lungsod” radio program.
Calimpong used to be a Misamis Occidental Board Member.
Calimpong gained attention because of his commentaries not only on issues but on high ranking government officials as well. He regularly criticizes Bukidnon Vice Governor Jose Ma. Zubiri, Jr. and even constantly uses the term “Zubiri-bad” (so very bad) during his commentaries.
Several controversial issues such as questionable purchases by the government also get unearthed because of Calimpong’s program. Just recently, Calimpong raised the issue of the re-conditioned dump trucks allegedly purchased by the Malaybalay City government that cost Php 2.9 Million each.
