MALAYBALAY CITY | BUKIDNON ONLINE | BUKIDNON NEWS | FIESTA EVENTS – Thanks to our friend Niko Aldeguer, BukidnonOnline.com now has an idea of the various sports related activities that are set to happen next month during the Malaybalay City Fiesta. Malaybalay celebrates its fiesta every May 15, in honor of patron saint San Isidro Labrado.
According to Niko Aldeguer, former Malaybalay City Sangguniang Kabataan rep and now City Sports Coordinator, the 1st Mayor Ignacio W. Zubiri Open Basketball Tournament will be among the activities during next month’s fiesta. Interested participants have until April 30, 2011 to sign up and join. There will be categories for: aspirants, juniors, seniors and civic.
There will also be a 1st Mayor Ignacio W. Zubiri Invitational Volleyball Tournament for Women. This is open for all schools as well as local government units.
A mountain bike race will also be conducted.
All these events will reportedly be sponsored by the City Government of Malaybalay headed by Mayor Zubiri in cooperation with the office of City Sports Coordinator Niko Aldeguer.
