BUKIDNON BLOG | KAAMULAN FESTIVAL 2013 | BUKIDNON NEWS – Team United Nationalist Alliance or Team UNA held a grand campaign rally in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon last March 2, 2013, the same day of the Kaamulan Festival Street Dancing Competition 2013. The said Team UNA Bukidnon rally attracted tens of thousands of people, as evidenced by the photos taken by Bukidnon blog Bukidnon Online below. The Bukidnon rally was the first in Mindanao by Team UNA.

UNA senatorial candidates (with the exception of Jack Enrile) were present during the campaign rally, which was led by former Bukidnon Third District Congressman and resigned Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri (who’s gunning for a Senate seat under the UNA banner) and his father Bukidnon Vice Governor Jose Ma. Zubiri. Re-electionist Bukidnon Third District Congressman Joey Zubiri and all Bukidnon mayors and vice mayors were also at the rally.

Interestingly, the elder Zubiri, alongside his party mate Bukidnon Gov. Alex Calingasan, are supposed to be allied with Liberal Party. Zubiri told Bukidnon Online, however, that they are supportive of the UNA senatorial slate because of Migs.

Bukidnon has a voting population of about 800,000.

Although Bukidnon Online was told earlier that day that former Pres. Erap Estrada will arrive, UNA folks later said that he couldn’t make it. Vice President Jejomar Binay also could not make it as he just came from a trip abroad.
